Pioneer BDR-212V Optical Disc Drive
Description
The BDR-212V is an internal SATA drive. It can burn up to 16x on BD-R (25GB) media and up to 14x on BD-R dual layer (50GB) media, which is the fastest in the market! The drive is also backwards compatible, so it can read and write to most DVD and CD formats.
With Vinpower’s support, Pioneer improved the drive’s DVD±R burning performance by providing consistent and reliable burning of any file type for the duration of the duplication progress. This ensures the recordable DVD media will have a greater success rate when copying and greater reliability of playback. In addition, the enhanced BDR-212V will ensure even and uniform burning appearance across the full circumference of the disc every time, even if just burning 1 disc or during heavy use.
The BDR-212V drive has features such as a QuickPlay which enables movies discs to be ready faster, a Noise Suppression design to minimize noise, an Anti-Dust design to increase durability, and Precision Writing Technology to minimize write errors. And of course being a Pioneer drive, the BDR-212V drive supports a wide range of blank media .

- Stable Recording Control - The drives have an extensive database of media specs and are better able to communicate and convey these details while burning the disc(s) at ultimate speed.
Greater Compatibility with blank media and media players:
- Stable burning throughout – Provides consistent and reliable burning of any file type for the duration of the duplication progress to ensure the recorded media has far greater reliability of playback or that the discs will successfully copy to begin with.
- BD-R and BD-R DL support – Able to duplicator recordable single and dual layer 25GB BD-R and 50GB BD-R DL.
- DVD and CD Duplication – Able to duplicate recordable single and double layer DVD-R / DVD+R as well as CD-R.

- Made with better parts - using true Japanese design and parts for a stronger and more reliable drive
- Industrial tray gears & pulleys – provides a more stable disc loading tray for a longer life cycle (1 cycle equals 1 tray extend from and then return into the drive)
